The One World awards, which will be broadcast on BBC World, reward the media for stories that are better informed about, and better reflect the reality of, life in the developing world.
The starting point is to establish a direct connection between what the population of those countries would like to seen on screen – as a representation of their nation and their culture. Using a wiki site I am gathering visuals from around the world.
What we are looking for are reflections of the creative culture in your country. This could be anything, from craftwork to ground breaking architecture. The only rule is that it must be an image that you would be happy for the world to associate with your nation.
The possibilities are endless! So spread the word amongst friends who are artists, sculptors, photographers, designers or who just have a keen eye for an image and live in developing countries. You can submit your ideas and work at: http://www.wikibrief.com
